Bash Bish Falls, one of Massachusetts’ most dramatic natural landmarks, is located within Bash Bish Falls State Park in the Berkshire Hills. RDLA assisted the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) with trail improvements designed to enhance visitor access from the parking area to the falls while preserving the rugged character and natural beauty of the site.

RDLA’s design carefully integrated new improvements into the steep, wooded landscape, including natural stone steps, accessible wood bridges, stone retaining walls, and trail enhancements. Materials and construction techniques were selected to complement the surrounding geology and minimize visual impacts. The improvements provide safer, more accessible circulation while maintaining the informal, natural experience that defines Bash Bish Falls.
