RDLA developed the master plan and landscape architectural design for Ainsworth/Engvall Farm Memorial Park, transforming a 17-acre former farm in Grafton into a new community open space focused on passive recreation, accessibility, and conservation. The design preserves the site’s rural character and natural resources while introducing an accessible multi-use loop, walking trails, picnic and gathering areas, interpretive elements, and native landscape improvements.

Working closely with the Town and community, the design balances expanded public access with protection of wetlands, wildlife habitat, and the property’s agricultural heritage. Accessible trails, stormwater management, wetland restoration, meadows, and carefully integrated site improvements create new opportunities for walking, nature appreciation, and informal recreation while retaining the qualities that make the landscape distinctive.
